This larger cousin of U. australis does well in larger containers/ponds. They do have a taste for mosquito larvae and other small aquatic inverts.  Aquatic species like this have no root system and spend their life floating below the surface of the water.

Care:

Best in a pond that receives morning sun and afternoon shade. This plant can be killed by algae so it's important to have other aquatic plants around to help keep nutrient levels low and balanced. No or low nutrients = No algae.

This plant may be killed with Frost, keep indoors during winter with bright aquarium lighting.

Before purchasing please contact us to see which provenance we might have close to you.
