You are purchasing 1 x Cephalotus, will be posted in it's pot and carefully wrapped. Actual Cephalotus being purchased in first 3 images
An endemic Australian native to the highly biodiverse zone of South Western Australia. These incredible plants use pitchers to trap ants and spiders. Populations across their range are believed to be unique. Sadly highly sought after poaching has eliminated some populations.
Care:
These plants seem to do well in terrarium style situations with bright light, kept in their own pots. Have a few individuals as a trial alongside our habitat pond in the Western Sydney climate (no greenhouse) though in a position that receives morning sun and afternoon shade. So far still alive!
In an outdoor greenhouse situation we would ensure soil is moist at all times but free draining. Keep their roots cool, a flush of water through their pots each day could work and something we have done with great results in the past.
Note:
Protect your local Biodiversity
Do not release any plant into your local environment even if native. Plants from cultivated sources may not be of genetic local provenance and interfere with local population genetics.
Happy to combine postage at a revised rate if additional plants are purchased.
